The Rural Development Department of Government of Bihar was facing challenges in identifying eligible beneficiaries of NREGA scheme. As a result, there was a huge gap between money disbursed by government and money received by a beneficiary.
Thus, Glodyne partnered with the government for implementing and managing the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme project in Bihar, called e-Shakti. This is a five year BOOT project, which has the potential not only to generate more employment directly and indirectly, but also to transform rural economic and social relations at many levels.

Pentax pushes super sturdy snapper
Written by Eliza Hardacre on February 6, 2012 – 4:43 pmPentax pushed rugged photography into new terrains this week, launching a pair of 16Mp compact cameras that promise to perform under the most demanding of outdoor conditions.
The Pentax Optio WG-2 and WG-2 GPS may look like Optimus Prime’s caboose, but they’re built to pull through even the harshest of Decepticon onslaughts.
Along with surviving dives of up to 12 metres, the WG-2s can be dropped from 1.5m, frozen to temperatures as low as -10 degrees C and crushed with a force of up to 100kg.

New research from NPD finds that smartphones are now responsible for more than a quarter of the photos and videos people take in the U.S. About 27 percent of photographs taken in 2011 were captured by smartphones, up from 17 percent last year. Meanwhile, about 44 percent were taken with single-purpose cameras. Thats down from 52 percent in 2010. Standard cellphones, camcorders, webcams and tablets account for the remainder.
So, a significant decline, and one indicative of a trend thats been emerging for years now: The smartphone as good enough camera.
